Collection: Eco-Friendly Rug Pads

A rug pad shouldn't cost the earth to keep your rug in place. Ours are built from recycled and renewable materials, certified for what they don't put into your home's air, and made in the USA — so the greenest choice is also the one that performs. Here's what makes them eco-friendly, and how to choose.

Made from recycled fiber: most of our pads — the Extra-Thick All-Surface, Ultimate All-Surface, Designer Cushioned, Ultra-Thin, and Moisture-Barrier — are built from 100% post-industrial recycled synthetic fiber. That's manufacturing material given a second life instead of sent to a landfill, densely needle-punched into a firm, supportive pad.

Made from natural, renewable rubber: the Natural Rubber Non-Slip is a single layer of 100% natural rubber — a renewable, plant-derived material tapped from rubber trees — with nothing else added. The Felt + Rubber pairs recycled felt with a natural-rubber backing for the same renewable grip.

Certified clean for your home's air: every pad here is CRI Green Label Plus certified for low chemical emissions, and most are also OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified — tested to be free of harmful substances. No cheap adhesives, no off-gassing glues; just materials that are safe to live with.

All of our pads are cut to the exact size of your rug — no waste, no oversized pad to trim down and throw away — and made right here in Dalton, Georgia, the Carpet Capital of the World. Not sure which is right for your room? Our thickness guide walks through it, or contact us and we'll help you choose. Pairing a pad with a new rug?
